Joey Bada$$ And Harry Fraud Lead Off ‘New York Renaissance’

The Joey Bad / Harry Fraud collaboration represents what is best in modern hip-hop. Frankly, the East coast is what is best in the rap game right now; and although it’s hard to miss the TDE gang, Peter Rosenberg recently put together a mixtape with input from the leading MCs out of New York that should persuade from any other opinion upon listening. “Day In The Life”, the leadoff track on New York Renaissance, is indeed some third eye shit, from both sides of the song. Joey doubtlessly channels the delivery and cadence of New York’s past while painting a picture (if your mind can keep up) over a clever, soul-looped kickkicksnare that points directly to Fraud himself.
