C.Z. Releases Biggest Solo Effort, ‘Bathtub’

Bathtub is the biggest and bestest solo effort thus far from the M|O|D associate C.Z. This nine track EP follows a few early projects from the Boston-stationed producer as well as his single contributions to the M|O|D crew’s Peng volumes that took place over the course of the previous few months; a few apt remixes along the way also mark C.Z.’s development of style. Today on Bathtub, he’s heard putting together a polyrhythmic batch of bass tunes—showing his hand at hip-hop to club to house leaning styles—that will have you hard-pressed to not move at least a little bit to. Simply and broadly speaking on this given project, it adds up to dance music, but for the clubs under Pacific water.
