The Latest On Unknown To The Unknown, Sinden’s ‘Badboy’ EP

DJ Haus’ Unknown To The Unknown imprint has been a hustle to keep up with since I’ve been attuned, but with its genre-spanning tendencies and improvisational attitude regarding release structure (if Haus would say there is one), it remains to be interesting to see what kind of artists begets to UTTU and what dance genres, round after round, come to be glorified from the underground via a not-so-average Youtube channel. As his first solo effort of 2013, the London transplant now stationed in L.A.–and headman of his own, equally genre-spastic (as he also is) label Grizzly—Sinden, is the latest to be heard on UTTU with the recently released Badboy EP. Compared to its eventual achievement as a U.K. funky number, the beginning of the title track is fairly sinister with a no nonsense 4×4 and sparse piano stabs. But as I said, playful wobbles do come into play, as do more breaks of the aforementioned piano play that give the track somewhat of a two-faced appeal. And what would an Unknown preview be without some collaged visual accompaniment, which is available for your (sometimes probably NSFW) previewing purposes below. Cop the full digi release here.
